House owner, part 2

Well, the warranty company won't cover any of the electrical work (at least, they won't definitively say they will until we pay them for a visit, but the agent was less than affirming), so it looks like we're on the hook for at least $4K in repairs before we can even move in. Grrrr. On the plus side, there is a whole pile of dead ants in the master bathroom. Oh, wait, that's not good, either.
Hmmm.

anything that was covered in inspection that wasn't remedied before the purchase will not be covered by the warrenty.

1) Actually, the warranty company said that they do cover pre-existing conditions, but only a very select few, apparently. If we had appliances or fixtures that didn't work, for example, they would fix them or the causes of their "non-working". But if there aren't any fixtures or appliances in place to fail (which is the case here, because the wiring is so bad nothing has been installed), then no. If that makes sense to you, bravo!
2) We have those regular small brown ants piled up.

Mi hermano, better dead ants than a live 'possum--and I ain't talkin' George Jones. Unfortunately. Bonne chance with the new digs!
